Paul, Apostle of Christ / Risen - Set [DVD]

Paul Apostle of Christ follows the last days of Paul and his meeting in prison with Luke. Risen tells the story of a Roman Tribune an unbeliever who after trying to disprove the Risen Christ becomes a believer. Wonderful films wish there were more like them instead of the comic book movies and the incessant action films with little or no character development and the foul language.

2 for the price of one. Very entertaining. I really enjoyed this movie. I was glad to add another movie to my Bible collection.

Not that great. Acting was not too well and clothes seemed like costumes plus it seemed like a few people were wearing poorly made wigs. I put pictures of the really well done movies. Buy those with pictures. They have ithers called, "In the beginning", "Samson and Delilah", plus Jeramiah but those 3 are not so great. Nor is the one on Daniel very good. Not sure who produces some of these but some are from TNT. The good ones are amazing. Save some money and do not buy this movie.

i appreciated the realism and the overt heroism and the truthful realism displayed. the characters are well displayed with subtlety and truth. these movies re-new me each time i watch them.

Risen all around is my favorite of the two. At least it wasn’t filmed so dark .. Apostle Paul most scenes were filmed in the worst lighting that was distracting from the entire story that the actors were portraying. Paul a truly wonderful, powerful early Christian deserved better visual lighting to enhance his extremely important history. Very troubling times for Christians in Rome.

Excellent port rail of St. Paul. Followed the Bible account very well.

Both movies were told from an interesting "outside-the-box" point of view, which made familiar Biblical stories quite thought-provoking. The special features were especially fascinating. Our church has a lending library and I have donated the set to share with others.

Very Disappointing. Had no trouble viewing 'The Risen' but am unable to play 'Paul, Apostle of Christ'. Consistently get an error message stating "This DVD player has been fixed to Region 4. Only those discs that support this region can be played." I have no idea what this means but am unable to play the disc.
