Do I just apply the gel on top of the previous one each time or do I file the old one down and apply new?
I have used this for 4 days. No scab has appeared but is very sore. Is this normal?
Does anyone do anything specific before starting the 4 days again?
Can you use this on a wart at the top of my leg?

Very easy to use

Effective and accurate dosage of fluid. Blue colour not strong, but it helps some.

It actually works! It's not quick though.

I got my first and hopefully last ever verruca in August 2020 and I have tried everything to get rid of it. Started on over the counter salicylic acid treatments, then started paying a podiatrist. We tried stronger salicylic acid and then mono acid (evil stuff, avoid) coupled with ablation (shaving it down with a scalpel), needling (painful), laser (incredibly painful) and nothing worked.Bought my first one of these pen treatments in May 2022 and have been using it religiously since then, applying once or twice a day for 4 days then leaving it until the resulting scab falls off, repeat. It's now March 2023 and it's finally gone! Have gone through two complete pens on this one verruca and after the last scab fell off I'm left with lovely pink skin with no hint of verruca left behind. It's been so long that I'm half scared to not continue the treatment in case it returns! These pens are much more convenient than squeezy tube type treatments. Liquid is slightly coloured so you can see where you've placed it and each click gives you a nicely controlled blob with no excess. You need to be careful with placement as it does burn on healthy skin. I didn't find that it turned the verruca black as it states in the instructions, the only change in colour came from sock fibres adhering. Takes a long time to fully dry after application, so make sure you've got 15-20 mins available before you need to put your socks back on.Recommended, just don't expect it to work overnight!

It works… but the chemical is strong so be careful

Review written over time, from first-last use:-My wart is rather small, but I have had it for about 10 years now (I was 7/8 ish when it showed up, and I was too scared to get it treated at the doctors, and haven’t really had the bother to get it done since. Thought I’d try this considering I can do it in my free time, and don’t have to take a big chunk out of my day for it)-It’s like an itchy, slightly stinging pain.-I had rather shake-y hands, and could still get it precise with the tip.-It hurts for a while after you put it on as well, and then hurts when you put a certain amount of pressure on it as well, but thats quite dull, I’d say.-I would recommend getting plasters to put on it after each treatment+dry time (it’s recommended in the instructions, but it obviously also protects it from anything like dust or fluff causing an issue whilst it’s still in the more painful state).-hurt much less on my second day (third treatment), only really started to hurt when I accidentally smudged it slightly onto healthy skin (hence the recommendation for vaseline, I forgot to this time)-after using it for a week (I’m bad at listening to instructions, pretty sure it’s meant to be 4 days at a time), I had this gut feeling that I should leave it for a bit, and since the skin around it was damaged from me scrubbing at it one day, and the product, since it can cause damage to healthy skin, I saw that, that was the best idea-I kept plasters on it, and used TCP to make sure the area around it wouldn’t get infected (and my mother kept asking if it was alright because it was blue because of the product, and it dying, but she refused to accept this, and it made me start to worry, even though I knew it was fine) as well as lotion to soften the skin up, I have eczema, so that+using this, and TCP, all dried up my skin. I also used an oily soap on the first 2 or so days.-I started the break on Sunday, then on Thursday morning (literally like- 00:17, it probably could’ve been sooner but I was scared), I was able to peel an area away. I don’t know what this is as of now, but will note that down when I find out if it was the wart(s)-It was feeling particularly itchy, possibly because I was wearing a plaster all day… and it was waterproof, and I’m slightly allergic to waterproof plasters so my skin gets itchy when I wear them but I wanted to use clear plasters so screw it.-Continued to feel itchy after what I hope is indeed the wart, came off-Waking up Thursday morning, I looked at my hand (where the wart is/was) and it was no longer blue, but looked more like a wound, so I will be applying TCP and lotion-Almost 2 weeks after stopping the treatment, it’s still healing but it seems to all be closed up, it’s just not yet fully healed :)-many months later, it has left a red scar. That is largely my own fault for using it for a week, rather than the 4 days it says to, so be careful with that. I, personally, so prefer the scar over the warts, but some people may differ.Oh-it did, indeed get rid of the wart so… yeah!Have a wonderful day <3

It actually works!

This product appears to have removed my 8 year old extremely stubborn verucca! I've had a verucca as a adult for at least 8 years, if not more. I didn't do anything about it for years as I thought was a corn or just dry skin until I noticed it had spread! I ended up with 3 veruccas with no signs of disappearing so decided i really needed to tackle them! For the last 12 weeks I applied bazuka daily plus used 7 x at home verruca freeze treatments (scholl and wartner) as well as the bazuka gel for a double attack. In addition I used a surgical scalpel after each time I removed the gel to try and keep removing as much as I could so the gel got right into the verucca. I was just desperate to remove them so I was quite brutal and was watching podiatry videos on youtube! Despite the bazuka, the at home freeze method and the scalpel my veruccas were still going strong after 12 weeks of daily treatment (I only missed a couple of days).I switched to this scholl pen after reading good reviews. After my first 4 day application and 4 day break the skin didn't really seem to lift much by itself so I ended up using my scalpel and trying to work it out as much as I could. The veruccas were quite clearly not fully removed but seemed to have reduced in size. I applied the gel over a second 4 day (twice a day) period. This time the gel hurt like never before. This gel was honestly so painful, nothing like bazuka or the freeze treatments so I'd think twice about applying on a small child. However I was so determined to get rid of the verucca so I persevered (after a few nights struggling to sleep - honestly!). Long and behold in my break period the skin finally seemed to be lifting on its own. I didn't want to rush the treatment as I felt something was working and didn't want to just cut the top off so I left it longer than the recommended 4 day break. I kept soaking my feet and trying to prise the lifted skin away with a nail cuticle tool. After about 10 days they all came out as quite big pieces with just a little help from myself. 2 are definitely remaining so I'm on my 3rd treatment but the original large verucca has gone! It's quite obviously gone because it left a little hole in my foot and you can see all fresh skin with all my skin striations again. This is the first time I've seen this part of my foot in years. I'm so relieved and the pain was worth it! I put a bit of bazuka over the fresh skin just for good measure to try and kill any remaining virus just in case (I wouldn't put the schol over as it's clearly powerful stuff and wouldn't be good for fresh skin). Now to remove the next 2 veruccas. Fingers crossed they'll come out like the other one did on my 3rd treatment with the scholl verucca pen.
