Buf-Puf Back Scrub Body Sponge

I love the Buf Puf products. Similar products don't compare. I especially like the double sided Body Scrub Sponge with the handle. Unfortunately the ones with the handle are not available now. Why is it that when something works and is great it is eventually unavailable or discontinued? I hope it becomes available again.

I was unfamiliar with the Buf-Puf brand until reading some reviews on Amazon while searching for a new sponge. I tried the Buf-Puf face sponge and was impressed. I decided to give this back scrub sponge a try and have been very satisfied. The handle is two pieces that clip together and so far it appears to be very solid and well constructed. It is easy to use and I like that the sponge can be removed and reattached if needed. Thanks to everyone for writing such detailed reviews on Amazon, I never would have discovered the great Buf-Puf products without you!

Didn't realize there was a handle ... there was no description available. I thought the size of the box inticated the size of the Buf-Puf Sponge... boy was I wrong! The handle is flimsy and could potentially break. JUST LOOKS CHEAP...Don't guess there are "refills" available for sponge. $10,00 us a lot to pay for a 5" x 3 1/2" SPONGE and a crappy piece of plastic.

The company has ceased production on the handles for body scrubbers. I had hoped this was because they were going to release an improved version because it did have a few flaws. After waiting for two years though, no replacement has been announced and my existing handle had to be replaced. I am somewhat addicted to the buf-puf and how well it exfoliates. I love the way my skin feels after using it. Only one of the other scrubbers or puffs I have tried worked (the two sided sponge sold here on Amazon- Aquasentials Dual Texture Bath Sponge) but the manufacturer ruined it so I quit buying those.Since these handles are no longer being made, they have become the victim of price gouging by the few sources who still have some new, unused old stock. I hate to admit that my aforementioned addiction compelled me to buy one here. I was desperate... and I did. It is not the behavior of a true Penny Pincher, I know, and I feel a little less clean for having done so. However, I do have silky soft skin.

Unfortunately, the handle does not stay on. This product is in two parts and you snap a handle into the base of the puff. Everytime I tried to use it to scrub my back it came apart at the smallest pressure. I tried to use the puff without the handle but it was too awkward to hold. A complete waste of money.

The Buf-Puf part of this scrubber is excellent; it exfoliates the skin well leaving it smooth, invigorated, and clean feeling. However, the handle that the Buf-Puf is attached to is garbage. The handle arrives in two parts that you snap together. Nearly every time I use it, the two handle pieces separate while I am in the middle of scrubbing my back.

I've used these for years. They used to be readily available in drug and grocery stores, but are harder to find now. I'm glad Amazon stocks them. I find these work much better than loofahs, or scrub mitts, or any other exfoliating product. The "sponge" has a softer side and a rougher side (the blue side). I generally use the rougher one. Their facial sponge is also a very good product. Start with the package that contains the handle, then just buy refills. The handle lasts for a long time before needed to be replaced. Make sure you let the sponge air dry.

This is a nice little product. It won't change the world but it helps my day begin a little better. I have used the facial Buf-Puf for years and it has helped keep my face fresh-looking and blemish-free. Now I have a Buf-Puf for the rest of me! I keep it hanging in my shower and use it every day. When the Buf-Puf sponge eventually must be replaced, I can reuse the handle. It is much more economical to recycle the handle than to replace an entire back bush and it is less to put in the landfill.
