Pain reliever. Plantar fasciitis!
These are fantastic! I have had a couple pairs in my nicer work shoes and they help me be able to stand all day. I have plantar fasciitis, along with bone spurs in my heel. They are a little pricey but definitely worth it. One pair lasted over a year, unlike those cheap insoles you get at the drugstore! They have many different styles to fit in different types of shoes. I suggest looking at their recommendations on the Superfeet website. It definitely helped me decide. The black model is great for nicer shoes with less space. These have been a tremendous help with my foot pain and I will be buying more!!

Dramatically reduced my foot pain within hours! Happy, happy feet!!!!
These insoles are amazing! I have been suffering for several months with severe plantar fasciitis iin my left foot. I have moderate pronation in that foot & have also had surgery in the past to remove a neuroma in that foot. I have tried new shoes, exercises, cold therapy, night splints, compression socks, etc. with very little relief of the pain. I am unable to take anti-inflammatory medications or steroids due to severe side effects. I placed these into my shoes and my pain was significantly better almost immediately. I was completely pain free after 3 hours of walking with these in my shoes. I cannot believe that this insole had such an impact on my pain! My pronation is completely corrected. The arch support feels great & it is in the correct place for my feet. Usually most arch supports are too far forward for my feet. They feel wonderful to my feet. I also purchased the copper which is basically the same insole with memory foam on top. I use it in my roomier shoes as it is thicker. This insole is thin enough that it fits into all my shoes as long as I remove the original factory insoles. These have been a life changer for me. I can now wear all of my shoes even the ones without good arch support as long as I have these in the shoes................UPDATE...........I have been wearing these insoles in all my shoes for 3 weeks. My foot pain has totally resolved. I was in tears when I walked prior to using these insoles. They have changed my life! Sounds a little dramatic, but it is true. I also purchased the copper Superfeet which has a memory foam top. It is very comfortable, but they are not thin enough to fit into all of my shoes. The black insoles fit into any of my shoes (after you remove the original insole). Most of my shoes are Easy Spirit which have removable insoles (a great feature). I had to rip the insoles out of all my Skechers shoes. My Skechers had comfortable memory foam insoles, but absolutely no arch support whatsoever! Probably why I started having foot pain in the first place! I purchased another pair of the black Superfeet so I would have some insoles for my yard work sneakers.

Great for flat and wide feet.
Perfect for flat, wide feet if you need firmer arch support on the inside of your step so your foot doesn’t roll over the rubber/foxing of the shoe — especially in Vans. Some shoes use softer, cushier foam insoles, which feels nice, but that doesn’t always work well for flat, wide feet. If that sounds like you, these are a solid choice.

Good insole for dress shoes
An ex-football player past his prime (6'3", 360 lbs, size 13D, medium arch), I was recently diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. My orthopedist recommended daily stretching exercises and Orthoheel slippers to wear indoors (no more walking around in socks). What a difference! The slippers and exercises lessened my symptoms from the start and, over time, eliminated most of my discomfort, so I decided to find some orthotic inserts to improve my street shoes. So far, I've tested: 1. Dr. Scholl's Massaging Gel Extra Support 2. Aetrex Copper Medium Arch 3. Spenco Polysorb Total Support 4. Superfeet Orange, Copper, Black 5. Powerstep Pinnacle 6. Powerstep Pinnacle Pro each for two hours' total walking time over a few days in two pairs of my favorite shoes: New Balance 606 hikers and Cole Haan loafers with Nike Air. Dr. Scholl's Massaging Gel Extra Support: Advertised for big & tall men, they didn't do much for me. While the extra cushioning helped at first, it helped less and less the longer I walked on them. I mentioned this to my orthopod and he told me the key to managing PF is not cushioning, it's support. Grade: D Spenco Polysorb Total Support: Remembering my doc's advice, I chose these for the rigid heel cup and arch support. Though quite comfortable overall, the arch support was a bit too low for my medium-high arches and the heel cup was insufficient support for weight. While they worked reasonably well for me, I believe they would a be better choice for lighter individuals with lower arches. Grade: B Aetrex Copper Medium Arch: Promising better arch support, these felt very similar to the Spenco insoles even after walking around the block. I then swapped one of the Aetrex insoles for one of the Spenco insoles and walked around again. Only then could I tell them apart. The Spenco offered a little better support for the mid- and fore-parts of my foot, the Aetrex offered a little better support for my arch. Grade: B Superfeet: I was in an Allen Edmonds store and noticed the Superfeet insoles. The clerk said many men my size have good success with them. I tried the Orange and the Copper DMP versions in the store. Finding the Orange too high for my arches, I got a pair of the Copper DMP. These are easily the most rigid of the insoles I've tried...and easily the best. Superfeet arch support sits farther back on the insole than other brands. This made a real difference in the support and comfort I felt walking long distances. I also found the medial post support in the heel did a better job than other insoles in combatting over-pronation. Neither the Orange nor the Copper are thin enough to work inside my Allen Edmonds dress shoes, so I tried a pair of the Black. They work very well though obviously cannot provide the same level of support I get from the Orange. Grade: A Powerstep Pinnacle: While it seems well-made and offered good support, it simply did not work for me. The gel-based arch support sits too far forward and in the middle of the insole. The insoles felt like I had lumps of clay underfoot. After a few blocks of brisk walking, my feet began to fatigue as if I were walking barefoot in sand. Again, these may work for some people but they didn't for me. Grade: C Powerstep Pinnacle Pro: Other wearers commented that the Pinnacle Pro differs markedly from the Pinnacle, so I tried a pair. I barely made it a block before heading back home. Though more rigid than the Pinnacle and with a better heel cup, the Pinnacle Pro was too inflexible through the arch and ball of my foot. These were the only insoles I tried that truly caused me pain. Of course, it could just be the contours of my feet, and for others the Pinnacle Pro might be great. Grade: F

Pain-free firm support for my super-flat (i.e. non-existent) arches
I usually have a lot of trouble with stiff orthotic inserts, because I have completely fallen arches since I was a child which barely show any arch with the toes flexed. In the past I've suffered from plantar fasciitis and iliotibial band syndrome which were corrected by custom orthotics when I was younger. I have problems wearing shoes that aren't designed specifically for orthotic inserts, or are of themselves made for comfort/extended walking. I put these insoles into a pair of new boots that I love dearly but which have a very hard footbed with barely any arch support, and so was already sending familiar twinging warning signs the first day I was wearing them. The boots are a snug fit in the midfoot and toe area and the insole is sewn in (not removable) so I had to find insoles that were slim enough to fit without compromising support. Yes these Superfeet Black insoles are more expensive than your typical Dr Scholls or Spencos. But the moment I stood on them to try them out, it was a case of "where have you been all my life?!" Most stiff arch insoles hurt the arch areas of my foot after 10-20 mins of walking, and continue hurting --- it's discouraging when everything else feels comfortable BUT the arch area. With the Superfeet Black insoles, I could feel the firm but flexible arch support WITHOUT any pain! It's like a miracle for a 100% flat-footed person like me to be able to wear insoles without having to suffer from the arch pain. It has been between a rock and a hard place with wearing ONLY cushion insoles (which cause my fallen arches to eventually ache as well as other issues related to posture/gait) or wearing other arch support insoles, which provide correction to my arches but TOO much, so they hurt. These are something, at least for now, fantastic. I bought a size larger than my shoe size because I saw a video where someone was being fitted for these and had to go two sizes up to fit the length of her arch -- that was more important than the actual length of the insole, which makes sense since you can just trim off the excess. If this comfort and support level lasts (will update if it doesn't) I'll be getting Superfeet Blacks for all my shoes from now on. If you're also flat-footed to the point where your wet footprint shows zero arch at all, and you've had the same pain when trying the "hard" arch support inserts, I would recommend trying these. These also have the "hard" semi-flexible plastic arch structures, but they're lower than anything else I've tried and fit very comfortably. (Caveat: Since all feet are different, YMMV of course.)

Arch height important on your insert fit.
Installed these inserts into my Asics for low arches and they feel great. Arch height is important. It took the back of my knee pain away. Walking normal again. Good sturdy feeling from the insert. Will buy again.

One of the best things you can do for your feet, particularly if you're flat-footed.
I got introduced to superfeet inserts a couple of years ago at a Sport Chalet and I make the investment into these replacement inserts everytime I get new shoes. These guys are nothing short of amazing. If you're on your feet all day (like me), do a lot of sports (ditto), or even doing a lot of chores around the house (see a pattern here?), you'll appreciate the extra support these guys offer over your stock insoles. So what makes the black ones different from the other colors? In a phrase, they're designed for low profile shoes or people with very low arches (read: flat footed). When I first started using Superfeet I started using the Orange and the Green ones because they provide the maximum support that Superfeet offers. Unfortunately they proved to be too painful to use regularly as they also have the highest arches as well. These guys on the other hand are much lower without compromising too mcuh on the support area and perfect if you have very flat feet. I'm a big heavy guy (6'2" 325lbs) who has to stand all day at work, so having these guys in my work shoes has made a marked improvement in my posture and reduction in back/foot pain. About the only detraction I can say about these guys is the price. Even with amazon's great prices you're still looking at around 30-35 bucks per set and more than 50 bucks in retail stores, which can add a hefty price tag to your final bill when you're upgrading both your work and personal shoes at the same time. Still, they're a lot cheaper than custom orthotics so the net result is still great. It's still a great investment for your feet and overall comfort, particularly if you're on your feet for most of the day.

Consigliatissime

low support
Good construction, but blue ones suit me better, much more support, better for flat feet like mine, i need a lot of support.
