Very nice bluetooth mouse with hyperscroll!
I wanted a bluetooth mouse to use with my Surface Pro but can't live without Logitech's hyperscroll wheel. Outside of the recently released and super expensive new Anywhere mouse, this was the only option. Thankfully, it works very well. On occasion I have to re-pair it if I have turned it off and haven't used it in a while, but that is to be expected. Very grateful for the reviewer of the newer M557b mouse that pointed out that the M557b didn't have the hyperscrolling and that this one did. This fits nicely in the hand and in my bag. So far, great battery life (haven't changed batteries since I got it).

Friction Free with Bluetooth
I've been using the Logitech Nano mouse with tiny USB dongle for some time and love the friction-free scroll wheel. The only problem is that my notebook only has two USB ports and sometimes I need both for something other than the mouse (and some devices don't seem to function correctly through a USB hub). So I've wanted a Bluetooth version of the Nano for quite some time. The M555b combines the two features I "needed" into one unit and I've been pretty happy with it so far.The M555b has one programmable button just behind the scroll wheel, similar to the Nano, but not the other two extra buttons. Not a problem for me since I tend not to use the additional buttons, but it should be pointed out for those who do. The M555b wheel still has side-to-side scroll functionality. I wish they had kept the shape and design of the Nano in this new mouse since I prefer that style and feel. The M555b looks and feels somewhat "cheap" by comparison. That's just a matter of preference however... your results may vary. Also, the M555b doesn't come with a protective mouse sleeve for transport, like my Nano did. For the price of this mouse, you'd think they could throw that in.Another thing I don't care for on the M555b is the battery cover. To access, you hold the mouse upside down, press a button at the back of the mouse, and lift the bottom off the mouse. It just seems more awkward than having a little trap door cover on the bottom, but that's also a preference issue... doesn't really get in the way of usability. At one point, just a few days into using the mouse, it stopped communicating with my computer and I figured the (included) alkaline starter batteries had lost charge. I tried several other sets of regular and rechargeable batteries. Also tried redoing the Bluetooth connection, etc., with no luck. I decided to return it as defective, but when I tried again the next day it started working and has been fine ever since. Don't know what the problem was, but the hiccup seems to have gone away.As with other Bluetooth mice, this one has a touch of lag on occasion, especially if it's been sitting for a few minutes without moving. Overall, it doesn't seem as bad as other Bluetooth mice I've used, but I wouldn't recommend this for gamers or people who demand ultra precision and responsiveness. With general use, it probably won't be an issue. If you need several programmable buttons, look elsewhere. Check a local store to see if you like the style and feel of this before buying since it's rather plain-looking. Overall, I give the M555b good ratings because it gives back a USB port while keeping the free-wheeling scroll, which I'd be hard pressed to do without now (great feature!).

Don't waste your time or $$$$
I'll make this simple: The mouse does not pair with my iMAC (Leopard OS) 90% of the time. The other 10& of the time it connects and then loses the connection at random times.Logitech support is virtually worthless. A 24 hour response time became two weeks! And, when I was contacted, I got a canned, worthless response about updating drivers, etc. I followed all their "advice" and it was all for naught.I'm trying to get a refund. Wish me luck.Richard Garcia

Will not connect
I have spent several hours trying everything I can google up as to how to get it to synch. My bluetooth enabled laptop simply can not discover the mouse, though it finds other bluetooth devices. I guess the next step is to call someone in India.

It is Ok..
I am using a HP TouchSmart iq816t with Windows 7 Ultimate. I did not add any of the Logitech drivers, just used Windows Bluetooth to link. The main issue has been that the mouse will randomly disappear from known Bluetooth devices; has happened twice. I just attach a USB mouse and add the device again and things are great. There is slight lag (~1 sec) to awake the mouse, but that is to be expected. There aren't many Bluetooth mice out there, so I would buy it again...

Finally a Bluetooth mouse that doesn't suck!
I've been looking for a decent Bluetooth mouse for a long time. A while ago I gave up and switched to using the Logitech M505 series, the mouse was big enough to fit a normal persons hand and it 'worked'. But I kept getting annoyed about having to travel around with the little USB dongle, at home I didn't want to give up the USB port and that meant remembering to unplug it from the hub when my laptop went on the road. All very annoying.I saw this at the Apple store and decided to give it a try. I'm very happy I did, because it really works. No big lag when it re-syncs, the movement is nice and clean. I don't like the click noise the wheel makes when scrolling, but that is a minor thing. Haven't had it long enough to get a handle on the battery usage, but I have multiple sets of re-charge-ables.

Great mouse.
Great mouse. It allows me to free up one of my usb ports on my mac book which is a huge benefit. It tracks movement on several surfaces so a mouse pad is no longer required for accuracy. The scroll wheel is a joy to use (especially when you put it on free wheel mode). Overall this mouse is very comfortable to hold and use. It does disconnect after a few mins of inactivity but it quickly reconnects after I move the mouse again. That may bother some people but I've noticed all bluetooth mice have this issue. Personally, It does not bother me at all. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend.
