Cortech BLVD Freshman Riding Shoes (10) (Black/White)

I wanted a pair of riding shoes for casual use (going to work, etc.) because I was tired of wearing boots each time I rode.These bad boys arrived and I was immediately surprised by how sturdy they are, especially around the ankle area.Although they do feel a little heavy on the feet, I’m very happy with my purchase and would totally recommend them for anyone looking for a non-typical biker shoe.Btw! The most similar shoes I’ve ever worn have to be roller blades... but that’s not bad!

They are fine for riding in sunny weather and light temporary rain. Full time rain in medium to heavy rain events with water standing in the roads your feet will be soaked from water going past the tongue even tightly strung within 12 miles of riding. So the description of waterproofing from Cortech is useless. It is comfortable in dry weather and feels good on the pegs and upshifting. So you only get the style of the boot, and safety. Continuous wet weather choose a water diversion style boot. The word Waterproof here is totally misleading and meant to make the product more than true value implied.

These tend to run small, and they have almost zero give, allowing them to be broken-in. Definitely get them with Amazon Wardrobe if possible. Consider a half to full size larger than normal, especially if you normally wear a "wide" shoe, as they don't have wides!Ride safe!

Definitely runs large, I usually wear a 11.5 sometimes 12 and 11 fits fine. Sturdy shoes for sure and protective, not the most comfortable if you're standing for long periods. Perhaps some new insoles will help. I was hoping for these to be high top skate shoes but in person they are a bit more boot looking.UPDATE a year later the sole has started pulling away after some repeated water exposure.

These riding shoes are awesome! I’m not a fan of boots but wanted more protection than shoes and they did not disappoint. I can’t comment on durability because I just got them but they seem like they will last would recommend them to anyone

Great ankle protection and very solid construction.Definitely stiff out of the box but breaking in nicely

Super comfortable and sturdy. They do run a little larger than regular boots. The exterior material between the toes and the shoelaces wrinkles in a funny way. Overall a great buy!
