McAfee 2016 Total Protection Unlimited Devices, Key Code

I installed this on a Win 7 Ultimate with all updates, Intel 3.0 MHz processor(E8400), 8 gigs ddr2 dual channel 800 MHz memory. Clean box no problems and McAfee hijacked my email and shut my computer down. I had to reboot several times to get the system up and going. This is the second time in last few years that I have tried McAfee and both times it was a disaster. I do nor understand how this software ever bad any money and was even used by anyone. I just do not understand it cannot just be me. Amazon instantly refunded my money. It would be a great deal (unlimited) computers for $19.95 if it a rurally worked.

First off I guess I didn't understand this would not be a disc I could load on more than one PC- OK, my fault. I went to the web site and put in the code, saw the spinning red circle and assumed something was happening [you know what that means]. After fifteen minutes I went to the live chat and typed in my situation and was shown it was a two minute wait. After waiting 10 minutes I asked if there was someone out there. After another 10 minutes of watching the red spinning circle and waiting for a response, I gave up. I don't know if this product works so I am not rating it on it's protection capability, only on the lack of a download, the web site's response and my inability to reach someone to assist.

McAfee packaging and promotional information on this 2016 Total Protection is a little misleading. It seems to indicate on the front of the packaging and in their promotional information that your iOS and Android products will be protected by McAfee. As it says, "Protects All Your Devices" and then shows the Android Logo, the iOS logo, the Windows Logo and the Mac Logo. I read this and took it to mean that like the McAfee I've used for years, it would protect my iPhone and iPad in the same way I have come to expect McAfee to protect my PC's. NOT REALLY THE CASE. On closer inspection and installation on my iOS devices, basically this McAfee product that bills itself as "protecting all your devices" simply loads the Anti-Theft McAfee program (similar program that is already on your phone and free from Apple) and the File Protection program - which encrypts your files. Other reviews seem to show that there may be major issue with the encryption program. I ended up taking these worthless program off of my iPhone and iPad.Would have given it Two Stars for misleading packaging/promotional information but the program does the job that it should on my PC's so I didn't. It does leaves a bitter taste that McAfee seems to be misleading us in saying that it will "Protect" our iOS and Android products when it really is only loading on duplicate programs OR programs which are FREE in Apple Store. McAFEE - REALLY? Who's the genius that thought misleading packaging was a great idea?

I had the McAfee internet protection only before and it was alright, not great. I took a chance, before my year subscription was about to expire and i needed to renew it. Instead; i bought the Total Protection here on Amazon and believe me; there is a lot difference when you purchase this product as supposed to downloading it from the internet directly from McAfee. I love the way it works, it's more effective and it has less problems than the one i had prior to this one. It's worth buying it. I used to have Norton, but it always had some issues including all kind of viruses deactivating it and infecting my computer, Norton is now, way too out of fashion hackers have found their way to use a backdoor to enter the computers, McAfee on the other hand it's really keeping up to date securing the computers. I used to have on my computer at my job in law enforcement, our computers never got infected with malware, bugs, worm, viruses, spyware or any other malicious coded internet run software. I highly recommend it, if you really like to go on the internet trouble less.

This particular product appears to be a SCAM! When I typed in the code that was in the box Amazon sent to me, I got a page that didn't work. The posted help number led me to a person that appeared to be helpful and interested in getting the product installed and operational. Long story short,he seized control of my computer and futzed around a while before informing me that for +/- $100, or $200 or perhaps $300 (ish) I could get the McAfee product installed.This offering on Amazon for $20 is a SCAM!! Amazon should stop posting this kind of material!

There is some false advertising here. The product says that it protects unlimited devices but it does not state what level of protection it provides. I installed this on my mobile device and it asked me to pay additional $29.99 for premium feature. It does have a lot of basic features like find my device, remote erase and AV scanning which is all you will need but still, McAfee / Vendor selling this product needs to be clear when selling stuff of what is the scope of the product. I gave it 4 stars just for the advertising, though the product is amazing and extremely simple to setup on PC and on mobile device.I would advice everyone to go to McAfee first, create your account, then use the Redeem retail code from My Accounts to add the key code that you received from this product. That way, you can manage your device and get better control over things through McAfee including the find my device.

out of the box, easy to use------requires internet connection. Directions are included that are easy to follow. I have a question. , however. as follows--what procedures to follow if the downloading stops? Further, for those who may wish this info_, predators on the internet pretend to be Macafee, so you may be wise to jot down exactly how to contact the real Macafee tech support, email, phone, or chat, just in case. Just because it says Macafee in a browser search--- Bing, Google, or whatever---doesn't guarantee it is really Macafee. Murphy's law: if something can go wrong, it usually will. Had a problem with the installation and contacted McAfee Helpline. 'Susan' in Chennai was excellent and we got it installed. Running well now and seems to be doing its job.

Great product, easy to install on almost any device except BlackBerry. On- line support was excellent but may not be necessary to use the service, because it does its thing well.

I found it easy to download. I have been using McAfee for three years now. I am pleased with this product.

this item was outdated and should not have been sold, it was also not activated .waste of my money .will not order from this company again, very disappointed
