I bought this for my husband for our 10th anniversary. We always by things for our home improvement and we did that as well.My husband absolutely loves this lighter! It’s solid wood, so very well made. It come with extra wick and flints. This is an absolute yes! I would recommend this to anyone!!

My husband took up his tobacco pipe after many years of not indulging, and I thought to surprise him with a special lighter. (Please, folks, stop clogging our environment with disposable lighters!!) I looked at dozens, including Zippos, so I bought a Zippo and this one so he could choose. Boy, is this one a hit! He and I both love the look of it and it works very well. The Zippo had to go back as it wouldn’t stay lit when turned on its side for pipe lighting.

Haven't used it yet. Happy with the construction and design.

I carry this with me wherever I go, I love the way it looks and the way it handles.

So happy to find a lighter that uses normal lighter fluid as opposed to the pressurized type. I’ve only had this a few days, but so far it’s lit on the first strike every time. Fits perfectly in my had and has a good weight to it. My only negative is that I wish the groove in the screw for the lighter fluid was deeper. (Have to be perfectly set with the screw driver to turn) but not enough to take a star away. Hope the manufacturer sees this and on later models will fix this. I’ll definitely buy another if a next generation comes out!The fatal flaw…. The slot in the screw for refill is WAY too shallow. After only 2 refills I can’t turn the screw any more. I went from extremely happy to utterly disappointed.

Worked great for about two weeks, but then I started to notice that the fuel was leaking. After a few more weeks, I became concerned that it might catch fire, or light in my pocket. I had to refill the fuel every two or three days. Not because of use, but due to leakage. After about four months it failed completely. The striker jammed often and the fuel well froze shut. I was unable to open it after that, so I threw it away. It did not hold up in the wind. I smoke a pipe and needed a flame that could face downward and not get blown out in the wind. Again, another feature of a "trench" lighter that this was not. I like the design, but need a better quality of manufacturing. I consider a military-grade, trench lighter, something I can rely on in an emergency. I'd be willing to pay more for quality and reliability.
