CarbmanAM122006 Carburetor for John Deere Gator 4x2 Gator 6X4 replaces AM18740 AM121391 fits Worksite PC2387 32429 32256 32414 32429 Riding Mower

The original or first shipment was not a carburetor at all. Prompt shipment of the replacement. However, the carburetor was too small for the 4X2 gator as advertised in the sales ad that the search engine produced. I just returned the carburetor with UPS and the process was simple. Waiting to see if I get the proper refund.

carb works but the gaskets didn't come with it. I contacted seller through amazon but never got a reply. I ended up buying some locally for another $6, and those had to be altered to match up properly. Not a real big deal but frustrating none the less.

Installed in 15 minutes, started right up, ran a little rich so I had to adjust the adjustment with the black plastic screw on the top right side by hand, (no tools required). Turned the screw all the way in (to the right) and backed it back (left) to one round out, you have to play with the adjustment til you find the SWEET spot for the engine.(Whether idling or high speed)You can tell by the smell of the exhaust, (too lean or rich)

the mounting holes were spaced too close together. I didn't want to mess it up by enlarging the holes so I just sent it back

I bought 1 for my Gator and 1 for my Dads, my Dads is a 98 and mine is a 99, my Dads needed no adjustment and it ran great! Mine needed some adjusting and it runs much better but it smells a little gassy like its running rich but I can't seem to get it to change, still much improved over the 20 year old one, would be nice if there was some directions with for proper adjusting.
