NOT MADE BY ALUMINUM, IT IS PLASTICS. ALSO ZERO RF BLOCKING EFFECT!
I received it today . It was definitely not made by Aluminum. It is a PURE PLASTIC CASE.I decided to test the RF blocking of this case to just make sure it would block a RFID effectively.I have a RFID Key that I knew I could block the RFID Key's RF completely by wrapping the key with just a single thin layer of Kitchen Aluminum Foil . However I put the RFID key into this CASE, my RFID key still can be read by a RFID Key reader. 100% success. , just as easy as a naked key without any RFID shield. This means that there is no RF Blocking material in this case .The RF blocking effect from this case is basically ZERO!If this case's RFID blocking effect is worse than a single layer of Kitchen Aluminum Foil, you know this one is a joke.If you are looking for a RF Blocking case to protect your RFID card, then this one is not for you for sure.If you are looking for an Aluminum case, then this one is not for you for sure.I am returning this one now.

It's a good thing these come in a bulk pack. I use them for cards in my back pocket and I need a replacement about once every six months. They bend and the plastic internal dividers wear out over time. They also have some design issues. I'm not thrilled with the color selection but I don't really care about that too much.I'm giving this 4 stars because despite any issues they have, I keep buying more and using them. I'm not one to use something repeatedly or daily that I think is awful. The hinge pin drifts out occasionally. A drop of cyanoacrylate (Super Glue) helps a little. Over time, I've developed a collection of old ones that I use for spare parts. I did drive over two of them in a soft bag with a car once (accidentally). They were destroyed but adequately protected their contents. I weigh close to twice the benchmark adult weight and one lives in my back pocket. When I had a more active job, I went through them closer to once a quarter instead of twice a year. They get scratched and dinged but that seems to be mostly cosmetic. The colored clamshell is thin metal, the hinge pins are steel and the rest is plastic. I've had them break in various other ways. You get six, though. I'm not attached to the color so I just replace them when they wear out.I'm not the type who worries about RF protection. I don't know if they work for that. I'm not sure I even know how to test if they work for that and I'm an electrical engineer. If you wear a tinfoil hat, maybe try the next step up.

They definitely pass the abuse test.
Ok, I purchased these almost 2 years ago. So here is a durability review. First off, the colors are vivid. I received red, pink, purple, green, black, and silver. This is quite nice because I can easily tell the difference in my bag and grab the right one as needed. Yes, I have multiple wallets in my purse. One is my main wallet with my drivers license and bank card as well as a couple I use almost daily, one has all the family health/insurance cards, etc., so they are constantly banging together in my purse. I have put my main wallet through the ringer, filling it with cards, stuffing folded money in an empty pocket which really increases the bulk to close, and constant opening/closing. I find that after 2 years of heavy duty use, it is time to replace the main wallet. The closing mechanism has finally given out and the aluminum sides are starting to separate from the spine from overstuffing. I am not upset about this in the slightest, because when I say I abused it, I mean I ABUSED it. multiple falls, scrapes, and crushings occurred in addition to daily use. The rest of the wallets (with the exception of the one my husband uses almost just as much) are still in tiptop shape, good to go for a long time. I not only say I will purchase these again, I actually AM going to purchase these again. I figure if I get another 6 pack, I can keep some in reserve.

Three damaged out of the box. But overall, not too bad for the price.
After reading the other reviews on these wallets, I purchased them without high expectations. That was the correct thing to do. The wallets arrived today in the standard Amazon box that is big enough to hold about ten orders of these. I never understood why they use boxes that are way bigger than necessary. But, that's a different issue. The wallets were each in their own box and all of the boxes were taped together as a bundle. It seemed like a pretty secure package. I opened each one. The first one had a crushed corner which tweaked the metal cover so bad it pulled away from the rest of the wallet. The inside plastic was broken as well. The next one had a dented corner, but nothing like the first. I opened the rest and had one more with a dented corner and the other three were in good condition. A 50% defect rate isn't very good in my opinion. But given the cost for six, it isn't really surprising. The severely damaged one is unusable. The two with dents aren't that bad and are functional. Overall, the wallets look nice. I received six different colors (red, blue, black, white, green and purple). The hinges seem fine, unlike what is claimed in other reviews. The latches are not broken however there is a distinct difference between the wallets. Some have a more firm closure while others seem weak. I loaded the wallet up with the contents of my previous one and it all fit nicely. I currently have 10 credit/gift cards, driver license, business card and four insurance cards in the wallet and it closes and latches fine. If I add one or two more cards it may or may not latch. A couple of the wallets can handle the extra cards and the rest wont. I guess that says something for quality control.Time will tell how long the accordion card holders will last. They seem solid enough but are made of somewhat brittle material. The inside of the wallet, including the latch, is all plastic. The colored shell is aluminum and should provide adequate shielding for those concerned about digital snoops stealing your card data.It would be nice if the damaged wallets could be replaced. Unfortunately since these were fulfilled by Amazon, the only option is to return them all for a refund and then reorder. Seems like that would be a crap shoot since you have no idea if you will get good ones or not the next time around. Maybe the actual seller will pick up on this and offer to replace them. Given the price of them, I can't really complain too much. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for.FIRST UPDATE: Shortly after posting my seller review and this one I received an email from the seller. They have offered to replace the damaged items for free. I will give them kudos for prompt service in responding to the problem. As soon as I receive the replacements I will post how they are.SECOND UPDATE: I am on wallet number three. Overall they seem to hold up pretty well. The first one broke at the hinge. The second had the accordian holder rip apart. The third on, I am using now, has lost the button that pops the wallet open. But it is still easy to just pull open. I am still pretty pleased with the wallets even though I get about 2 months of use out of them. For the cost I don't expect much more than that.
