I love my black bodum originaI press. I noticed today the the carriage (for a lack of a better word) that the glass sits in is peeling what can I do?

Amazon: is the black 34 oz bodum coffee press a set as shown in the second picture including a bodum mug or just the coffee press?

What exactly does coarse coffee look like? Bits and pieces?

We used this twice and the foot/bottom support broke and now it is dangerous to use. Is this a common problem?
