Risk of Rain 2 - PlayStation 4

This game is fantastic. Easy to play, difficult to master. Tons of guns and upgrades. So much to unlock. All for under $30.

I had 0 expectations or any clue on what this game was. After 20 minutes of getting destroyed after exiting the pod the first couple times, I started to catch on to how this game worked. Finding new items and figuring out how it applied to my play style, exclusively seeking certain items to exploit with my play style, and finding secrets. Unlocking new characters, dying, getting further into the game, dying, reaching the boss.. DYING!!! BUT going back with a new tactic! This game is wayyyyyyy more fun with a friend, BUT still very enjoyable solo. I've put over 50+hrs into it and there is still so much to discover. Plus, word on the street says there new dlc with more characters and even better items is coming soon!

Great game for low $$. Recommended! The 3D game (Risk of Rain 2) on the disc is an early build and download/update of the entire game is required to get the most out of it. (It's around a 2GB download.) They managed to translate the original to a 3D version pretty well I would say. Give it a try.

So I will say it like many vloggers, you do a few runs and you will get killed and be super upset even rage quit but dont. Eventually you will learn what the power ups do, all you need to know is that - the game progressively gets harder over time but dont rush, get your power ups then find the altar to summon the boss. There are lots of hidden characters and stages to find also.

This game has some fun in the level system and all the loot you pick up it gets really addicting after you get the hang of it. If you like any kind of shooting game's you will probably like this one it's just mindless fun so for the price it's a great game to add to the collection. Give it a try my son had me try it and I'm glad I did.

This game isn't about story. It's pure game play driven by a pulsing soundtrack and fluid graphics which flows with the combat.

This game is good and can be really fun in short bursts. The difficulty is timed and ramps up super fast so sometimes it feels like you arent making a lot of progression especially when you gain so many cool items in your arsenal and get one shotted by a boss. But overall its really fun. Worth the buy. Risk of Rain 2 is a blast but risk of rain 1 is more of a platformer and the sprites are just far too small to play on ps4. Overall the game is worth the purchase.
