We LOVE Silly Putty
Silly Putty is great for fidgeters. I add a little vaseline creamy lotion to it to make it more pliable.

Best putty for pakhavaj playing. Made my life so easy
I am using this product for Pakhavaj an Indian tradition It is the percussion instrument most commonly used in the dhrupad style of Indian classical music and less often used as a rhythm accompaniment for various other sub-forms of music and dance performances (e.g. kathak). Unlike mridangam, it is made of wood and has a low, mellow tone that is quite rich in harmonics. The sides of the pakhawaj are made with animal skin (often goat skin). The pakhavaj players place the instrument horizontally in front of themselves as they sit on the floor with legs crossed. The players may sometimes place a cushion under the narrower treble face to lift it slightly. A right-handed person places the larger bass-skin on the left side and the treble skin on the right. The bass face tends to be smeared with some fresh wheat dough which acts as the kiran and gives a vivid bass sound to the pakhavaj.I apply this on a bass face instead Aata

Wonderful for all ages
I continuously squish this silly putty in my hands every day. It is relaxing and instead of biting my nails or pulling out my hair I play and squeeze the silly putty. I love this bigger size since my hands are adult size. It is packaged in a solid and sturdy red plastic egg. This makes it easy to send as a gift to anyone no matter the distance. I'm 26 years old and I love playing with this silly putty. It starts out quite hard, but the more you have it in your hands eventually the silly putty will get softer. I prefer silly putty over Clay-Doh and Play-Doh because you can touch it all day and your hands smell and feel just fine as if you never touched the silly putty. Play-Doh becomes unusable after it becomes hard. Clay-Doh makes your hands very sticky and you're forced to wash them after touching it.

Useful putty
I use this kind of putty to clean the Velcro of my AFO - hair and fur gets stuck in Velcro like nobody’s business, and I’d been needing some cheap putty to use as a cleaning tool for that. Silly putty is fun to play with, but it has its uses as well, and it does exactly what I need it to do.

Used for Pakhāvaj - No Good.
I bought it - even though the colour promised in the photos is brown - to use as a replacement for dough on the Pakhāvaj. Worked absolutely fine for a week. And then became so dry that it peeled off the face of the drum. The one from the US lasted me five years!
