Snuggling~Flirting~Canoodling
This is one book I could put down. If the next four books are as good as this one, they are sure to put butterflies in your stomach.Quotes from Chapter eleven:Royce ~~~The moment they stepped off the plane, Royce had already committed Sawyer to memory. The beautiful woman with a fear of heights who managed to pull me under her spell in a matter of hours. With each passing day, my concentration wanes, and my attraction to her grows. Two weeks feels like two years. I don't know why I can't shake my obsession with her. And she works for me, yet here I am holding her like she's mine. Tell me that I'm close to falling off the edge?Sawyer ~~~One thing is for sure, Royce is mouthwatering. His abs have abs. Blinking hard once, twice, three times, Sawyer pulls her eyes up his body to meet his eyes. I have to shift in my feet to ward off this arousal I feel from just one look.Royce is my boss, and we're breaking the rules, or are we? I like Royce. He reminds me of the man I met on the plane, with an added edge of sexiness. But, today he's taking that to a whole other level. The sexy multi-layered man has stolen my heart! What will Sawyer add to her Royce Riggins list? The sound of laughter fills the car, and I would give anything to be able to bottle the sound and take it home with me. Sexy Royce just got bumped to the top of that list as my favorite. Sawyer has never felt this overwhelming attraction before in her entire life.Royce is looking at Sawyer as friends, co-workers, peers instead of boss to employee."You can't have a reward without the risk." Happy reading!

I AM OBSESSED WITH THE RIGGINS BROTHERS
I AM OFFICIALLY A GONER FOR THE RIGGINS BROTHERS. Oh.my.stars. What a perfect beginning to what I know will be an addictive series. This may be my favorite Kaylee Ryan series yet! Kaylee is always my go to for feel-good, straightforward romance. Her books always leave my heart full and my soul refreshed- because she lets love be pleasant, sweet, and uncomplicated- but also oh so sexy. Her books are so charming- they always leave a smile on my face and remind me how good romance can feel. And Layer by Layer is one of her best- I loved this story, was smiling the entire time, and had all the swoony, squishy heart goodness I expect from a Kaylee Ryan story. This new series focuses on five brothers, wealthy good ole southern boys running their billionaire dollar family business. Layer by Layer kicks off the series with Royce’s story- the eldest of the bunch. It all begins with a meet cute on a plane-where a dashing workaholic CEO with some trust baggage finds himself on his route him rubbing elbows with a beautiful and panicking blonde, on her way from one toxic job situation to start brand new in Nashville (or as a Tennesseans call it, Nashvegas). Our hero Royce ends up comforting, and then ultimately connecting with the beautiful Sawyer after her flight nerves are quieted. Pleased that she is moving to his city, he hopes to connect with her again. And, he sure does, when he arrives at work on Monday to find out she’s his new assistant at Riggins Enterprises. Both are flustered, and neither know how to act around the other. Royce, even distrustful and frustrated by this inconveniencing his romantic intentions decides to react with brooding overtures and general moodiness. Sawyer is perplexed- where did the sweet man from the plane go? But she, too, has baggage- her last work situation was scarring, and she’s not interested in experiencing any tensions, or crossing any professional lines, with her boss. Fortunately fate, assisted by good old liquid courage and the delightfully meddling secondary characters, keep forcing these two to explore their connection. Royce soon discovers that his heart beats for this woman- she brings him back to life, back to this CORE. And that’s because Sawyer recognizes all his layers- peeling him back one by one to find his true heart, only to discover, every layer is hers.Oh, Royce- I loved all his layers. He’s dynamic and complex, and I loved how Kaylee lets him be so open and emotional, rare for a male lead. And Sawyer is a treat- sweet, kind, so loving, but with a pinch of sassy and a healthy sense of humor. The chemistry here is just magical- Kaylee lets them connect as humans first, even with an initial attraction, and the story is more of a slower burn, which allows us to just melt as we see Royce integrating Sawyer into his life and his family and we see them opening up to each other. There is an ease to their relationship- it’s natural and genuine, they just CLICK. I love how Kaylee always keeps her stories so focused on the couple- it allows the relationship to develop more organically. And here she takes a very done, super dramatic trope and defies it- makes it her own. The angst is super low, and the drama/conflicts are short and resolved by openness and communication- WHAT?! I know! How refreshing it is! We get a bit of witty banter and sassiness, sweet vulnerable moments, silly moments, and some moderately steamy ones, too.The side characters were also FANTASTIC. I’m salivating just waiting for the other Riggins brothers’ stories- each of them have unique traits and characteristics that I know will be fun to explore, and I adored each one of them. They are fun, lively, loving, and big- hearted. I’m desperate to get an invite to be part of the private lake party entourage- they were all just so delightful. Their friends were also wonderful- all catalytic to the story (they aren’t frivolous, they help this romance progress)- all likable and well developed and just GOOD people. How refreshing it is to see characters with healthy support systems and caring friends. From the first page to the last, I was smiling and enjoying these two charming people. I got all the happy butterflies, and I felt welcomed right into a familiar Southern setting that made me feel right at home in this Riggins world. I can’t want to return to Nashville to check in on this couple and to find out what those crazy Riggins boys are up to know- I’m so ready to dive into Owen next!

The hero’s possessiveness made me laugh in a good way, to say the least this book was funny, cute and a fluffy read.

5 She’s His Magic Stars!!!
Having read every single one of Ms. Ryan’s books I’m always so excited when she has a new bookreleasing and if it’s a new series that’s even better….getting to sink into new characters and storiesmakes me so dang happy!! And this first book in this new series about The Riggins Brothers is one that Iliterally read in one day!!Royce Riggins is a man that is driven by work and responsibilities and one day his life changes in ways hewasn’t really looking for but when Sawyer Gibson sat next to him on a plane to head back to his homeand her new home and job is the day that changed both their lives.I loved how even though Royce didn’t want to get involved or even talk to this beautiful woman shedrew him in and he couldn’t help himself. Little does he know that he’s about to see a lot more ofSawyer when he gets to work on Monday!! I totally chuckled to myself when this happened because itjust served this workaholic right!!And let me tell you how much I love Sawyer! She’s a woman that’s lived her share of life not being thehappiest and when she’s reached the end of her rope with her job, she makes a bold move by getting anew job in a new city to be close to her BFF and it’s a whole new life for her on her first day at RigginsEnterprises. There’s such a connection with Royce and Sawyer and they both need to start living again and even ifhe’s her boss, there’s only so long they can ignore the chemistry that is so palpable everyone aroundthem can feel it! This book takes these two and brightens their lives with the love they have to give eachother. Sawyer not only has Royce who is everything and so much more than she was looking for, but shegets his entire family and friends that just makes their relationship so much more…“I know he’s my boss, and a relationship is frowned upon – his words – but I want all of his layers. Iwant to peel back each one and examine them. I want to know all of him.”There were moments in this book that I was squealing with joy, was swooned right off my couch andhad a huge smile on my face with all the love that Sawyer gets and Royce realizes he needs this womanin his life because now he’s really living in the moment! This is the perfect start to a new series by one of my favorite authors and I’m so excited to get to knowthe rest of the brothers even more with each new book and see where life takes each of the couples!

4.5⭐
This is my first solo Kaylee Ryan book, and what a delightful introduction it was, as Layer by Layer is the start of a brand-new series featuring five sexy, single brothers who run the family business: Riggins Enterprises, with Royce the eldest, and CEO taking centre stage and falling head over heels for his new assistant Sawyer. But this isn't your typical office romance, and it isn't straightforward, but the build up between Royce and Sawyer is beautifully written with just the right amount of push-and-pull, passion, sweetness and emotion. And with the addition of the four brothers, Conrad, Owen, Grant and Marshall, and Royce's best friends Jase and Sam there was plenty of lightness and fun too. So much so, I was glued to my Kindle all morning and I'm really looking forward to reading more about these brothers in the future.Would happily recommend.

Wonderful
I love the way that Royce and Sawyer meet, a chance encounter on a plane. What looks like the start of something is derailed when Sawyer realises that she is now working for Royce's company.Royce has 4 brothers, who feature heavily in the story and add even more personality to it. I loved the way that they interacted with each other and were not afraid to be honest. The way that they welcome Sawyer is heart-warming.There is plenty to smile about, with some moments that are deep in emotion. Royce and Sawyer are both strong characters, but with their own insecurities. I enjoyed watching their relationship develop and was delighted for them both. I have reread this multiple times and have now read all teh books in the series, but this remains my favourite.

Easygoing Romance
This is the first book I have read by this author but I'll definitely read more. I liked the lack of secrets and lies. The romance between Royce and Sawyer began when they met on a plane and continued when Sawyer became his 'surprise' new assistant . I enjoyed how straightforward the story was, with only a tiny amount of angst. Why do characters always run off without talking to their partners? This was a good set up book for the rest of the series.

Absolutely brilliant! Feel good romance at its very best.
If you love steamy attractions, laugh out loud humour and characters that draw you into a feel good state of mind then this is for you. I loved this from start to finish and had a great deal of difficulty putting it down I was so addicted to the wonderfully romantic storyline. Do yourself a favour and devote a few hours to reading this - it'll give you feel good vibes and an excellent anti depressant! 😍😘😉
