Q: must I switch temperature and oil pressure sending units to digital units. (1995 Kabuta power plant)?

Dear Customer Yes, you need to switch to digital units to use the DSE3110. This unit has configurable inputs/outputs (6 digital inputs/4 outputs – 2 outputs configurable on magnetic pick-up variant. It does not have analogue capabilities. However, the DSE7110 MKII does have Configurable analogue/digital inputs. Q: Can this be programmed to automatically start and stop generator based on a temperature and or volrage input?

I believe that the on/ off control is simply connecting a pair of wires together (at the end of their run) that are connected to the controller at the other end. The controller only starts and stops the generator based on whether the pair of wires is shorted or open. However, you could add a different accessory device such as a thermostat or voltage sensing relay to close the Gen start controller wires. Then the generator could be started based on temperature or voltage.

Q: Does this controller require "fieldbus transmitters" for oil pressure and engine temperature inputs or can i use the sending units on the 1995 kubota?
