2 days of effort, and my phone is still not working. Phone help was useless. Still trying to get internet help.
Ok, I've got a Galaxy S2, and figured I'd set it up for my sister. Since the phone works on the ATT network, I figured I'd buy the Net10 SIM card and get it all ready to ship to her.I activated the phone, and it connected to the ATT network with about 3 bars of service. My sister sent me a text and I replied. I surfed the web using Firefox. All was well. The following day after activation, I see no bars and a white X over where the bars should be. No browsing, no phone dialing or receive functions. Checking the available networks, I see that ATT and TMobile networks are visible. No problem, the phone isn't provisioning on the ATT network. I called the toll free number, and waited... and waited... And got through to first layer support. After I explain the situation, he forwards me on to the level 2 support. The level 2 support lady is nice enough, but she keeps trying to tell me that I need at least 3 bars to surf the web. Each time I tell her that the phone isn't connecting to the available network, her response is that I need at least 3 bars to surf the internet. Not. Helpful. She tells me that maybe I need to change my location, and to go outside. I have a Galaxy S3 and so I put the phones side by side (one in each hand). The S2 with a Net10 SIM shows not connected to network, while the S3 shows 4 bars when set to 3g mode. Finally, she tells me to contact the manufacturer of my phone (Samsung) for troubleshooting assistance. Again, Not. Helpful. I tried doing a factory reset, no change. I went to the Net10 forum. In the Samsung section of the forum are huge numbers of people with issues, each creating a thread. In each case, a representative will post that they need to take the issue off line to resolve it. And that's the end of the thread... no posting of what was done to fix the person's problem. There are 62 pages of threads in the Samsung section alone. I decided to post a thread. I created a user account on their forum, and posted. But nothing shows, because it's a moderated forum. The next day, my posting shows up on the site along with a representative's reply that I need to post *5 distinct posts* before I can chat with a customer service representative about my issue. Ok, I can do this. I post a dummy message. I try to post another message, and get an error that I can't post messages that frequently. You gotta be joking! My sister called this evening to ask how the phone activation was going... *that* was a fun conversation.Hopefully tomorrow I can chat with a customer service rep and get help. Overall, my experience with Net10 and the SIM card activation kit has been 1 star. Because that's as low as the rating system goes. I guess for the price, you could buy a bunch to use as coasters for your drinks...Update:I never did manage to communicate with an online support representative. Based on how difficult it is to get access to them, I would write off the forum as a lost cause. I finally cleared the APN entries in the phone, and re-entered the default one (again). For some unknown reason, it's working now. Funny note: I sent the phone to my sister in a rural area, and she get's slow internet connectivity. I asked her if she had any letters next to the signal bars (S, H, E, 3, etc) to check for what kind of connectivity she was getting. She had no letters. When I said that's probably why she had slow internet, and that she wasn't getting a 3G connection, she said "Oh, we don't have 3G here!" Slow connectivity issue solved. Maybe someday her hometown will get 3G.I'm not going to change from the 1 star rating, based on the lack of support both internet and phone.

Unless you are stupid, this is a great product
This product is exaclty what it says it is. It is not misleading and the product works fine. It is a standard sim card kit for the Net10 unlimited plan. If people would read the description and do their basic homework most of these negative responses would be positive ones. My favorite was the negative review from some one who admitted they did not even have proper service in their area! I recieved three sim cards in my kit. One for ATT, one for Tmobile and a micro sim ATT. Obviously your phone must be unlocked (don't be stupid), obviously you must decide which of the two carriers gets better service in your area (don't be stupid), obviously you need to buy a plan (don't be stupid) and obvioulsy you have to follow the GIVEN DIRECTIONS and update the APN settings on your phone with those given by net10 (don't be stupid). If you are not stupid you will soon be using the ATT or Tmobile network for only $50/month without a binding contract. Since Tmobile doesnt work at my place of employment I opted for the ATT sim and the service couldn't be better. I switched from a Sprint contract and now enjoy faster, more reliable service at half the cost. Should things change I am free to change right along with it.

Works great!
I was skeptical buying this but I took a chance since it was only 49 cents from shopcelldeals- no big deal if it didn't work. It works great and does everything it needs to do. Using Net 10 for about a month now with no problems so far. I did have to go to Target to buy the initial unlimited minutes card (got family plan card) because they do ask for codes, but other than that, everything else was simple to do online. The one thing I will stress is that if you are bringing in a phone from another carrier make sure you get your unlock code through them BEFORE you stop service. I activated the sim card and transferred my number which automatically cancelled my T-mobile account but since I had a G2 phone locked to T-mobile, I couldn't use my phone. I e-mailed T-mobile to ask for my unlock code and it took 10 days. A friend who currently has T-Mo asked for the unlock code so he could use an international sim got his code in 24 hours.

SIMs are Easy
Look if you have any idea who I am, and I realize you don't, then you will know that I am a HUGE champion for MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators). Companies like NET10 (yes they are an MVNO) are making the cell carrier landscape a better place for all users. This isn't just a SIM card this is a SIM card linked to your very freedom! The freedom to come and go from NET10 as you please. The freedom to try out a new carrier each month. The freedom to take a a lifetime off from paying outrageous celluar bills. This SIM comes in a package that will help you get setup almost instantly on NET10. Please remember your phone MUST be unlocked. If it is not unlocked, call your current provider and request an unlock code. Most carriers will provide it freely. However, remember as well that they don't have to.This SIM lives up to all the hype.

SIM Card works on AT&T net 10
My problems are only with NET 10 , not with this SIM Card. I tried to activate SIM online and transfer my existing number and it somehow gave me a new number. Then Net 10 would not help me fix the problem and get my number ported over unless I paid for another month of service. I told them no thanks and that I don't want to do any more business with them.30 days later they charged me again! I tried to call and call but their computer system just kept saying sorry we are too busy call again and then hung up on me. Tried using their tech support website to send message. They responded...please call us on phone to fix this issue.I eventually had to file a dispute on the charge with Wells Fargo to finally get my bank to take care of this.
