HoMedics Imperfect SqUsh Blue Tube Pillow - Irregulars with Blemishes and Fade spots

Decided to give these a try after seeing all the positive reviews, hoping to use these for added support in the small of my back or behind my neck, AND to try while sleeping (esp sidesleeping).For NECK support, there are better products out there, and the same goes for LUMBAR support (I tried several of the solid, chair-fitting ones and they're all good, just avoid the really cheap mesh ones).For SLEEPING, I'd definitely recommend  Duro-Med Hugg-A-Pillow All in One Orthopedic, Posture and Comfort Pillow with White Cover  instead of these.Here is why:While it works okay when you use it behind your back,or some other part of your body that covers most of the pillow, for your neck or head it's no good, since when you rest your head/neck all the beads that are supposed to suppport those body parts move toward the ends, and your head/neck ends up resting on a very thin and unsupportive surface.To partially solve the problem, I covered some loose part of the pillow with tight plastic loop, increasing the bead intensity in the rest of the pillow (like a bariatric surgery) and it is working good now.But the surface seems thin, and since there is no cover, it is exposed to tear, and the card inside advises to throw away immediately once this happens, so don't know how long I can use this, having a cat in the house as well. If it lasts long enough, it's gonna be worth it despite the necessary modification referred above.

HoMedics makes some good products, and I have owned a few of them. I am satisfied with this purchase, although not delighted. The outer shell is probably nylon and a decent weight, but it allows the pillow to squish just a little flatter than I would prefer - am thinking about stitching up a cotton case for it, which would also solve the laundering issue for me. The pillow is supposed to be surface-washed only, although I still have a square pillow with the same filling that I have thrown in the washer many times, and may put this one in a laundry bag to do the same. Sitting all by itself, fluffed up, it measures about 14" x 8". Squished down, it measures around 18" x 12".

This is a very cool pillow that works best in the small of your back. Didn't do much for my neck.It's a little too small for 5* since I bought it for my neck but, is very good for bracing and stretching the back at home or for use while driving.It's double lined so the beads won't spill out if the out layer tears but the cover is not removable, making it impossible to wash and doesn't come with a fitted cover.Seriously, the tag is a 1/4 as big as the entire pillow - would love it if it was bigger & had a fitted cover.3.5*'s

It does lose it shape after awhile but i mainly use this pillow to seperate my knees and re align my lower back so i can fall asleep easier again after a few months its overly stretchy material doesnt conform very well but still does the job ish

One Year Update: We've been using this for about a year straight and I am happy to say it has kept in good shape. It is still as squishy as when we got it, and the fabric shows no sighs of ware after some pretty heavy use. I am considering purchasing as second as we occasionally fight over it.--- Original --This is a very nice unit. Bean fill is nice and soft and its just the right size to cuddle with. It's a little shorter than some other units but it makes up for it in the width. Exactly what I was looking for.

I bought this pillow in blue and in pink for my children to use on our summer beach vacation. These pillows are great in the car for side-leaning against the door/window, as arm props while playing video games or reading, and in the home for kiddos to get comfortable in the floor watching a movie. If you are buying this for the purpose of using it behind your neck while sitting in the driver's or passenger's seat in your car, do not buy this pillow. I found it to be too thick to fit comfortably between my neck and the car seat's headrest.

Because this pillow was almost $25.00 I failed to notice it was advertised as having imperfections. This pillow was most definitely NOT worth $25 or even $10 for that matter. And I believe it wasn't made with enough microbeads, because once I put my head on it, I could feel the bed underneath. Pillows are supposed to cushion your head and keep it off the bed. I was so frustrated with it that I threw it in the back of my closet and forgot about it. I really should have returned it and gotten my hard earned money back.

I needed something to fill in my cart to avail of Amazon's super saver shipping (then $25), so I got the SqUsh Blue Tube Pillow.For the price, this pillow does what it's supposed to do- to supplement whatever needs cushioning that a normal sized pillow would otherwise be impractical to use on. It's not designed for your head but you can also use it for that if you wish. I've placed this in a duffel (gym) bag during one of my travels and it easily doubled up as a pillow while waiting for my next flight at the airport.
