Great product easy to install but a little pricey

i bought this 512 GB SSD to put in my Lenovo Thinkpad T430 Laptop after the old original 500 GB hard drive was causing so much issues that it wouldn't funcution right and ran too slow when Windows 10 was open, this not only worked, i installed a fresh copy of Windows 10 on it and it not only works, but it did gave a big speed advantage compare to the old hard drive when it was working good. needless to say, it wasd a good way to upgrade and i have since bought another KingSpec SSD, this time a 1 TB SSD for my Dell computerfor upgrading to.

I have over 20 in use for over 5 years. Never a failure.

My laptop could not recognize it the first few times I plugged it in. Finally it was recognized and I cloned my harddrive on it. I was able to get my laptop to recognize it one more time, but that was it. No matter what cord I use and/or computer I use, it will not work. I even tried plugging it directly into the main harddrive slot. Still, it would not recognize it. Now I have a worthless harddrive after just a few days, and I can't return it because I recorded personal financial files on it, and there still could be some chance that it could decide to work one more time. I'm not a fan.

The packaging is cool and I have it installed in a 2019 I mac i7 it's a very fast drive I have no proof but It makes my imac seem very new whilst using and install times are cut by in half. The price is great considering i got the 1tb and last year I bought a 500 gb from another brand and paid even more. The ssd is 2.5 inches and has the screw holes on the side.

Worked out of box, great improvement over the HD before it. Seriously reviews for these should happen after a year of ownership all we can evaluate is infant mortality at this point. I chose this based on others' recommendations indicating these are among the best of the "tier 2" makers. So far so good. Good value.
