fun straightener
I wanted a new straightener because my old CHI seemed to not get hot enough. This model had good reviews so I tried it. Bought the peach color and so pretty! Comes with multiple accessories as well but I didn't care about that. This works great and so easy to use! Best of all, the price! Way cheaper than expensive salon straighteners. Good job!

Best Straightener that actually curls my hair
This is a sleek little straightener. Comes with a bag, hair clips to hold your hair, hair ties. It even has a Velcro strap to hold the cord together. Really nice quality. I’ve used it to curl and straighten my hair and it does a great job. Not very heavy either so it’s not so hard to hold over your head. The curls I get are great for my short thin hair, and it heats up really quickly. Recommended for your hair tool arsenal.

Good straightener-worth the money-lots of extras.!
Very nice straightener. The only negative thing is that I think it could hold my thin fine hair better but it still works very well. It comes in very nice packaging with lots of extras. The unit heats up quickly and has a locking mechanism to keep the plates together when not in use. Good purchase.

Definitely good for the price!
I've owned and hated dozens of flat irons over the years. I was actually looking at a higher priced one (and was about to buy it) when I saw this one. I had decided that I'd give the advancements in flat irons a try and get a new one and I'm super glad I did. First of all, you can't beat the price. It's not cheap and flimsy (it's not professional quality either of course). The cord is about the perfect length (not so long you're tripping over it and not so short you can't stretch it to the nearest outlet). The temperature control could be better. I do like that you can't accidently change it/turn it off but I wish there were more options to fine tune the temperature. It only has 5 settings (from 320 to 460 degrees). My hair needs a setting between two of the temperatures, of course. My hair doesn't "catch" when I'm using it. That's been one of my biggest issues with flat irons is that I feel like I'm destroying my hair when I use them because of the breakage from the hair catching on the plates. The twisty lock feature I guess is good? It took a while for me to not accidentally twist it while using it. It heats up pretty fast and seems to maintain the heat well. It's lightweight and the outside doesn't get hot so you don't necessarily need the included glove but it's nice to have. I will say that the "accessories" are mostly unnecessary. It came with two big black scrunchies. It's 2023... who is using those? But really I could have done without any of the "extras". Most of them will just get thrown away or donated. I haven't used it internationally yet but the dual voltage is one reason I bought it. My hair is VERY wavy/lightly curly and damaged. I blow dry it straight and use the TYMO hair straightening brush but it still isn't sleek after that. Using this flat iron was the final touch that I needed. My hair looks nice and smooth after using it but not flat and tortured looking like some flat irons leave your hair. Overall, happy with my purchase.

Honestly my favorite flat iron but
6 MONTH UPDATE: I have been using this as a secondary styling iron since late December/early January, and it is now broken. The cord popped out while in use. It appears as though the cord just plugs right back in but it doesn’t. There is a plastic base around the bottom of the lock piece that looks as if the plastic just wore down? My husband tried to fix it and even when he just held the cord inside, the temperature lights flashed on before turning off. It has not powered on since, nor does the cord stay attached to base. Considering this is the youngest heating tool I’ve had die out, I would advise against purchase. It could be a manufacturer defect, or previously used (which might explain why, as stated in my first review—this iron, despite my hair care routine and protective products leaves a foul burning smell on my hair). All in all, this flat iron could be perfect but….it falls very flat.FIRST REVIEW: Okay, first — this flat iron is mostly great. I am biracial, with very frizzy curls and tend to style it straight or with waves. This is one of the best designs I’ve tried as far as curling for a loose wave and love how I can style my curtain bangs with it. This is one of the very few flat irons I’ve used in my life that DOES NOT pull or snag your hair out. Usually to some degree between the flat iron plate and the top of the iron, hair would somehow snag between them. I do not have that issue at all with this one. It’s incredibly smooth and wonderful.However. I have had this flat iron since late December and since day one in using this - I’ve had a very burnt hair smell ONLY when using this straightener. With my main straighteners I never have had this problem because at 31 - I have a hair routine. I don’t style without heat protectant ever. Etc etc. But even when I power this thing on no matter what heat setting it’s on, there is a very strong scent of burnt hair before it even touches my hair. Even the top part of my iron has begun to blacken and wear off after only 4 months of use. It feels important to mention my hair is not color treated. The only times my hot hair tools have ever changed color was years ago when I would box dye my hair so it seems unusual to me now.All in all, despite the smell it leaves in my hair and having to cover it as best I can with my products I still love the way it makes my hair look and until I can find one exactly like this that doesn’t make me paranoid everyone is capable of smelling my hair to the degree I do I’ll probably keep using it to style my hair when I know I’ll be washing it that night.
