Reliable Protein That Mixes Well and Delivers Results – Worth the Premium
If you’re training regularly and finding that recovery or muscle maintenance isn’t quite where you want it, this is one of those products that can genuinely help. I use protein supplements alongside exercise, and after trying several over time, I keep coming back to Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey. It strikes a really good balance between taste, mixability and results. Pros: Mixes very easily with no lumps Tastes good without being overly sweet Helps reduce post-workout soreness Supports muscle maintenance and recovery Cons: More expensive than many alternatives Not the cheapest way to increase protein intake My favourite flavours are chocolate and banana. I usually mix it in a smoothie maker for a really smooth texture, but on the occasions I’ve used a shaker it’s still mixed well without any issues. In use, it blends smoothly and consistently, and more importantly I’ve found it helps with recovery after tougher sessions and supports maintaining muscle over time. This won’t replace a good diet, and if you’re just starting out you may not notice a huge difference straight away, but if you’re training consistently and looking for a reliable supplement, it does exactly what you’d expect. Overall: A dependable, high-quality protein powder that performs well across the board—worth paying a bit more for if you want consistent results.

ON Gold Standard Whey Protein - Banana
I've tried loads of different whey proteins over the years and ON Gold Standard Whey protein is one of the best whey proteins available in my opinion. It's consistently good quality, has an excellent protein content and the flavours that I've tried so far (strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, Banana) have tasted great. Banana is my favourite though. Not too sweet and the flavour is subtle and not overpowering. All the flavours are easy and quick to mix. No lumps etc.
