I was slightly skeptical when purchasing this as I wasn't sure whether the two plastic clips would actually get in the way when I didn't want to use them. Happily, they slide easily off the end and with both detached, you have a regular level until you pop them back on. The two clips are a simple yet very clever addition and grip the level with just the right level of friction to provide easy enough travel and fixity, allowing you to easily transfer length measurements at a level line (e.g. the distance required for two wall fixings). This cuts several time consuming operations into one quick and highly accurate process. The level itself is lightweight, well constructed and accurate, perfect for DIY use.

A very useful idea, but the body feels very light and flimsy - not sure it would put up with any abuse/hard knocks. But for light DIY, very good.
