We regret any confusion you may have had with the description, but it makes no mention/suggestion of being a pure sine wave inverter. Pure Sine Wave inverters are mostly labeled as such on Amazon, and they sell at a substantially higher price point. Modified Sine Wave inverters are still a reliable choice for 90% of applications.

Q: Will it run a power tool? Skillsaw?

No! It wont run a worm drive saw at all, and had it hard wired of the batteries in my 7.3 super duty running.
