Good basic phone
Used daily for work. Good battery life, reasonably quick charging, display good for my kind of use, not quite as quick as some phones loading apps and does lag sometimes. I'd buy again.

NFC yes
I have checked on my A14 and it definitely does have NFC! I have also checked the total storage and it is 128 gb!!!Of course, it will take me a few days to get used to a brand new phone but I'm not doing too badly for a 75 year old :-) One thing I was cross about was that it came with was a type C to type C cable :-( That meant that I couldn't even charge it until I ordered and received a standard USB (type A?) to type C cable.Update: I really do NOT like the fact that the lock screen times out after only 2 seconds - even when you are on a voice call! That means that you cannot see the speaker, mute or hold buttons. I have spoken to Samsung Support and that agent could not help me change that :-/ This is different to the timeout on the display after you have unlocked your phone - that can be changed in settings.Update 2: I have finally found out that I can have NO screen lock at all, so that when I press the side key my screen opens on my home screen! See 2nd pic ;-)Update 3: I hate the delay between when the flash goes off and the camera actually takes the shot. AND I really hate that the onscreen button often doesn't seem to recognise that my finger has pressed it!

Avoid this phone from this retailer
Be aware that this phone comes from UAE so when it goes wrong, Samsung will not refund as it wasn't purchased in GB, despite buying from Amazon. The first phone I purchased was faulty as the sim tray wouldn't open. To be fair, a refund was received in an acceptable timeframe, however, the replacement after only four months will not swipe up to enable the password to be emtered. I was advised by Samsung chatbot what to do. It resolved the problem in the first instance then the issue reoccurred within minutes. I took the phone to a repair shop who advised that it needs a new screen which would cost £102 so I might as well buy a new phone but it will be from a reliable source and not Amazon.

Rooted Phone
Unfortunately the phone was 'rooted' which meant some apps (including banking apps) were not available.Returns was straight forward
