Why worry about shoes coming untied. Length is good as they come. Solid quality, I tuck the end in under the fastener when tightening them. They do not stretch. On point with Salomon quick laces if you're familiar with them. Easy to lace up. I tied the ends and tucked them in the screw pull tab. Has worked fine.

The threading of the laces was a little difficult, but they work perfectly. There may be an alternative that solved the string issue.

Replaced laced on my Terrex shoes with these and love the shoes now. My old terrex g2 swifts came with this setup and I really missed it when I got my newer pair. Super strong cords, and instructions were easy to follow.

Found it impossible to thread the laces through the shoe lock: instructions make it look easy but we both tried for ten minutes and unable to achieve this. I found the instructions confusing. Would like to return for full refund.

I got these to work. They hold fairly tightly although I don’t think I would use these for running or hiking. The lace material seems pretty durable. The slider used for tightening the laces is fairly stiff. It’s hard plastic, small and a little slippery so it can be hard to adjust the tightness. The pictures accompanying many of the reviews do not match what I received in the packaging. The tiny instruction pamphlet shows two different ways to install these laces. But there are no instructions that put it in perspective. You get a bunch of close-ups of various parts of the laces labeled step 123 etc. What you don’t get is pictures or suggestions about threading the laces through the slider other than to say use the toothpick provided. Don’t be too aggressive when cutting them off. You can always shorten them. It is not easy to thread the lace ends into the slider. They give you a couple of toothpicks. Those are ok but I used a very tiny screwdriver to push the lace ends through. That worked better because the screwdriver tip is much firmer. When you thread the laces, use the screwdriver (much better than a toothpick) to rotate the small wheel inside the slider. When threading the laces, you really need three hands. I put the slider in a small clamp to hold it. I used the little screw caps on the lace ends. I knotted the ends. Burned the knots and then screwed the screw caps together. None of this is very well illustrated in the instructions. I’m keeping them. I probably won’t buy these again. Deducting one star for crumby instructions and how tedious it is to assemble.

Finally, I found the right shoelaces for my pair of Salomon. My first pair of Salomon came with shoelaces that were too short and I had to tie them in a bow that kept coming untied. I've tried and failed at finding the right laces that fit them. This is a shoelace system kit. It was easy to lace them after I viewed a few helpful you tube videos. These laces worked perfectly and the quality is great. Order a pair, you'll be glad you did.

Installing these laces is a colossal pain. The product is okay, but it took the better part of 30 minutes to lace up one shoe. The loops on the shoes are so small that we needed a yarn needle to work the new laces through. The lock was also difficult to thread. Burning the ends of the laces to harden them is absolutely necessary, but has to be done carefully to avoid creating a large “nub” that won’t go through the holes. If you’re shoes are in good shape and you really like them, this is probably worthwhile, but know what you’re getting into.

These worked out great for my husband’s Terrex sky chaser shoes. Very pleased!

Used these to replace broken quick release laces on Alpinestars Supertech motorcycle inner boots.. Perfect replacement, length and width is almost exactly the same as the originals.
