Works fine but not sure about the fragrance
This Dove Derma Spa Intensive Hand Treatment feels pleasant and is easily absorbed into the skin - the thing neither of us are too keen on is the fragrance - a fragrance free version would be ideal. In addition, in this size it is quite expensive compared to E45 and other competitive products.

Love the smell too
I use this every evening before bed and my hands have improved enormously. Love the smell too.

Good consistency and coverage.
I have to say, I had slightly greater expectations of this hand cream than it was able to live up to. I use some of their other (unperformed) products so I had high hopes of this one.The tube is quite attractive in design, layout and colours, the hand cream itself has a very nice consistency and a little goes a long way, which is good. However there are two issues for me. Firstly - I put the cream on 15 minutes ago - a small amount that gave good coverage and soaked in quite well - but my hands still feel ever so slightly sticky. They don't feel dry, which is good, as they are usually quite dry - but I really prefer any moisturising cream to soak in and not leave you feeling its presence after the event. The other issue is more of a personal one. Although it is not strong, there is a perfume smell and, for me it is an unpleasant one. The sort that produces headaches. So for anyone who has chemical sensitivities of that nature, it is worth going to a shop and testing it out first, to be sure it does not cause you any problems. For most people there will be no problem whatsoever and there are many other products out there that are far more highly perfumed. This is much more subtle, which is a good thing. But not for everyone, sadly.

As good as the others, but no better
Mrs D writes: this is an unexceptional hand cream, which is on a par with Vaseline and E45 in terms of its efficacy, but is a little more expensive. There is nothing at all wrong with it, so it comes down to personal preferences for both the feeling of it rubbing in and the subtle fragrance - in my case the former is fine and the latter is a bit like hand soap.If my usual brand wasn't available, I'd be very happy to buy this, but it just wouldn't be my first preference.Four stars.

Nowhere near the usual high standards of Dove products
Really surprised and disappointed by this cream. Hard to believe it's from Dove. The cream is very liquid and my hands stayed wet, the liquid didn't sink in. There was no moisturising effect at all, in fact my hands were left feeling rough and a bit sore. That might be down to the perfume in the cream, it's a nice floral scent, but it's quite strong. Using this hand cream left me needing to put a soothing cream on top of it.If I'm looking for good points, it's a nice strong tube and squirts cleanly, but it's a horrible hand cream :(

Felt almost like a foot cream.
The aroma is instantly recognisable as Dove - I love it. The cream feels light and very hydrated - so much so that although it makes the skin feel less dry, there is a slightly tacky (albeit very soft too) sensation left behind when the skin is touched. The sensation is not unlike a foot cream. It's definitely very moisturising, and I can see it being used to best effect on very dry hands. One star off for the tackiness.
