Brilliant dishwasher
Absolutely love this dishwasher! It's designed so well, the cutlery tray folds to 1/3rd of the width of I need extra space in the top drawer. Top drawer has 2 heights and best of all, the irritating glass supports can be removed. The bottom drawer has independently folding plate stands so big pans can be put next to plates. And it washes beautifully well and in near silence. Can't believe it took us so long to buy this, it's really really good!

Good machine slightly spoiled by quality control and customer service issues
This is probably the best dishwasher we’ve had. Having said that it’s not perfect and the Whirlpool/Hotpoint customer service leaves something to be desired! On the positive front the build quality is better overall than the Belling it replaced. It actually washes dishes very well and has a lot of flexibility in terms of configuring the baskets for loading. The power clean function where pans can be loaded upright facing backwards and a jet system at the rear with sensors cleans well and liberates space. The issue is that there is a trade off having a cutlery tray and the cutlery tray itself is the weak link here. Not having a basket allows for much more loading space at the bottom but because the middle section has to be in its upper position to clear dinner plates there’s not much space for long utensils and tall glasses. The cutlery tray can be reduced width wise to allow for some taller glasses but the frame is still an obstruction and the plastic sections of the tray don’t lock together well. The cutlery tray doesn’t run as freely as the middle tray and can jam sliding in and out. I’ve had engineers out 3 times to replace the runners and basket assembly which is better but still sticky. It seems to be a design fault. Having said that the bottom tray washes well enough that you can put taller glasses in there and they will come out clean. Very tall thin wine glasses aren’t suitable for this machine but I’d watch delicate stuff like that manually anyway! Some people complain that crockery etc comes out wet but that’s probably because they’re using ECO mode all the time which uses a long duration and very little heat. Any of the hotter programs will produce a hot dry quicker result but will no doubt use more energy and water.Unfortunately the customer service hasn’t been great. It was difficult to get through to them on either the Hotpoint or Whirlpool numbers and live chat was supposed to be available and wasn’t. When I got through in the end I was promised a complete cutlery tray assembly with runners within in 5 working days. It didn’t turn up after chasing and being told there was a stock issue it took nearly a month to receive just one plastic part that didn’t help. After more effort an engineer was sent again without all the right bits. Two further engineers and after four months in total it’s still not perfect and the last engineer concluded the sticky running is partly due to a design fault and partly to burrs on the plastic wheels from the factory. Disappointing but it’s free enough to live with now. So it’s a good dishwasher if you can deal with the pros and cons of the cutlery tray but quality control and customer service could be betterJust a further additional caveat. The instructions could be better. If the machine has been switched off for 20 minutes or so there is a significant delay from when you press the power on button to when the display lights up and you get an audible alert. This made me think the power button was faulty and I ended up long pressing it to power up which is incorrect. The engineer had to explain so the manual isn’t great. It’s also hard to know when you have added enough rinse aid so that you either overfill it or the warning light is coming on very frequently

Too expensive to repair
We've been very happy with this dishwasher for 3 years... until it broke. The warranty is only for two years, so we're out of luck. In theory it has 10 years parts warranty. However when I called them up, the said they charge £140 for labor!!! That's 1/3rd price of a new dishwasher of similar spec. That's insane! I figured out that due to the type of malfunction it's probably the PCB that's faulty. The PCB costs even more. I'm very disappointed... :-(

Don't buy unless they've rebuilt it. Poor layout and really poor build quality
So, we've had it nearly 12 months, would I buy a Whirlpool machine again, no, never.I brought this based on a review that I thought I could trust, but actually it's been the worst dishwasher I've ever owned. Anyone who thinks this is a good machine doesn't have one in every day use. The review below is from nearly a year's use.Build quality is attrocious. Everything is too flimsey. The cutlery tray keeps rubbing on the middle tray (we had it replaced, no change) if it's in the upper setting and the clips holding the trays out keep on flicking off, making it worse. The middle tray is poorly positioned, in the lower setting, a normally sized plate (11 inch) can't be put in the lower tray as it prevents the spraying arm rotating. In the upper setting, the only the smallest of cups and glasses can be put in the tray, as otherwise they interfere with the cutlery tray. The plastic cup inserts on the upper tray need to be removed permanently if you want to use the upper tray for normal glasses and cups if the upper position.Lastly, build quality of the trays is pretty poor, everything is very flimsy. The wheels on the lower tray are plastic and too loose on their fittings. Combined with the wire being too thin, the result is that nearly every time it's loaded it falls off its runners. It takes 3 to 5 tries to get it to run in properly each time, and even then, sometimes it will still fall off the runners in the last 10cm or so.The plastic clips holding the plate holders are way too flexible, again due to poor construction and thin wire.Would I recommend this machine, definitely not, for every day use it's frustratingly poor. I would not recommend anyone to buy one as there's too many issues with this model, which is a shame as it really can wash well if loaded carefully. My personal opinion is that there are better machines out there for the price. Possibly not quite as efficient, but better made. When the lockdown ends, it's for sale.

Do your research and read unbiased reviews before committing to a purchase.
Excellent dishwasher! This replaced the fully integrated unit we had before but is sooo much better. Fitting the front panel board was easy too as the fittings all lined up perfectly. AO were faultless in their communication and delivery and I would thoroughly recommend them as a supplier.

We love this dishwasher. We generally use ECO for all our dish washing or six sense. Would recommend this dishwasher

Wish we had bought anouther Miele
It’s cheaply made, flimsy, the bottom tray swings about all over the place when you pull it out and one of the plastic spoon stands broke as soon as I touched it, It is incredibly small inside and there is no way you could wash a 14 piece dinner service in it .I appreciate its a first world problem but both my wife and I hate it and wish we had bought another Miele dishwasher. I would not mind but it wasn’t cheap either. It only doesn’t get 1 star because it washes ok (as long as you checked everything will go around when you shut the door).Never again, it’s going on eBay
