Sumatra Mandheling Gr1 Dark Roast Coffee Beans (12oz Whole Bean) - Good As Gold Coffee Roasters

Love this dark roast coffee. Beans were well packaged and taste very fresh. I also think the price is reasonable for great coffee.

I like different coffees but Sumatran coffees are my favorite. Nothing like that earth flavor with no acidic tinge. It’s the soil that gives the bean that flavor. I started buying this brand about a year ago and have been through three five pound bags over that time. The first and second bags were amazing and this brand is priced low enough that I didn’t expect that so I have been eager to keep buying it. But the third bag has changed some. Still decent coffee but it feels like a blend now because I am detecting an acid to it which should not be there. I would just like to express to the company a plea to keep the coffee as it was. Increase the price a touch if that is what it takes to keep it pure. In that state, it amazingly great coffee.

This is an excellent coffee but I must confess I first purchsased due to a Mandeling/ Sumartra I used to get going up so much in price. Now this coffee has risen $10.00 a pound...which is what the Mandeling/Sumartra costs. But it is still a good coffee.

Arrived on time from Amazon. The beans are aromatic and oily; not dry or stale. Fresh shot brewed within minutes and prompted me to have another immediately as the rich notes and intensely roasted flavor were intoxicating. I am purchasing a bag for my BFF in California ☕️

I should have ordered the whole beans but still a great choice

This is a good representative of Sumatran coffee. Although I do prefer Sumatran coffee to have a dark roast, this is a little on the dark side for me, but the flavors are all present as they should be for an Indonesian coffee. One of the better options here on Amazon that will not cost you an arm and a leg just for a good cup of Sumatran java.

I am a big fan of Sumatra coffee, and loved this one! I hand grind (coarse) and brew with a French press. Full flavor, low acidity.

I love this brand of coffee! Always consistent flavor. I have been purchasing just two types of coffee from this roaster and always satisfied!!
