Kramer Baretta Vintage Electric Guitar (Candy Blue)

Having been an avid (and quite rabid) Kramer Guitar nut since 1985, I was cautiously optimistic about this version of the classic Kramer Baretta. Guitar arrived directly from Tennessee without a hitch. Triple-boxed and in MINT condition. I knew immediately that this guitar was, in fact, a maple bodied instrument just by its weight - nice and heavy. The Candy Blue finish of the guitar is a tad cloudy in spots, but honestly, that wasn't why I bought it. The neck feels incredible. It's a bit fatter than the original Baretta or Pacer (Deluxe) necks of the mid-80s and I like that quite a bit. Solid feel. Excellent craftsmanship too. Actually pleasantly surprised with the fit & finish of this guitar. The Floyd Rose is also an original Floyd (sometimes they say it is and it just isn't).Initial plug in was fantastic. Guitar sounded excellent straight through an Orange TH 30 and Orange 4X12 Cabinet (Celestion-Loaded). The push/pull parallel volume switch produces the response you'd expect. No hums. No buzzes. Nothing. The guitar required a full set-up (which was expected) for my playing style, but after that was completed (mainly setting the guitar up with .009s instead of the God-Awful .010s that were on it from the factory)...HOLY COW!!! What a guitar. So far, so good and I intend to put it through its paces during upcoming recording sessions this fall. Excellent job Kramer!!! Love these reissues quite a bit. And excellent job Amazon for keeping this package on track (One Day Delivery was right on time).
