Daily Guideposts 2015: A Spirit-Lifting Devotional (Jacketed Hardcover) Hardcover – October 1, 2014

Content is excellent, as always. A spiritual lift to the start of my day. Some new contributors this year, who I look forward to reading, but great to have the "old friends" still there too.Some of the Kindle functionality that was present in the 2014 edition is missing in the 2015. X-ray is missing. Contributors names at the end of entries have a phantom character after the first letter, which prevents copy/search/paste which would also help find other entries by the same contributor and their Fellowship Corner items. Hope those functionality items will be restored. Would also love for the index to scriptures and contributors and titles/subjects at the back to link back to the entries. I like to return to entries that reference a specific scripture or subject and that functionality would be very helpful.

Daily Guideposts has been an important part of our lives for many years. Each year we purchase the newest book and use it in our daily devotions. The past two copies have been purchased as e-books and used on our kindle. We keep the kindle on the dining table all of the time and use it each morning. In the past, when we finished a book, we gave it to our local senior citizens center for the use of their members. The daily devotionals are almost always extremely meaningful and help us in our daily lives. We have grown to know many of the writers over the years and really enjoy reading about their latest life events in the book. It is almost like many of them are family members. This is the best daily devotional we have ever found, and I recommend it wholeheartedly to others.

I have used daily guide post for over twenty years to start my day with Dr. Peal's " Power of positive thinking." It helps me establish an attitude that is at peace with what ever I face.. Do I all ways achieve this ever day, heck no but I try.. I love this spirit lifting book and for select friends who I think have the ability to want to improve their attitude I give it as a gift. We enjoy comparing notes from time to time and I am encouraged that someday's we actually achieve our goal of maintaining a positive attitude.

I ordered this Daily Guideposts, as I was looking for something to help me sort of focus either at the beginning or end of the day, and give me some "food for thought." I also remember when I was growing up, my grandma would read her Daily Guideposts (among other devotionals) every day, and thought it might be good for me to try. Well, the readings are just boring and sort of un-inspirational, for me. Perhaps I need something a little longer than a few paragraphs, I don't know. I do open it up every now and then, but it's definitely not daily.

I love daily devotionals, and I especially love this book and made sure to order it since I enjoyed my 2014 version so much. I especially enjoy the first-person accounts and how the writers illustrate how daily life can help us be more mindful of our faith and how we can see God's hand in the most mundane situations. This is my gift to myself, and I can honestly say it improves my spiritual life.

Just finished and left me with a renewed and welcome feelingthat my time was well spent.my time with my Bible and Guideposts to start each dayis a wonderful reminder that all Gods people have common situations to deal with every day, and that we are not alone, forhe has said " I will be with you always, even to the end of days".

I buy one of these for myself every year. It is the perfect daily devotional that also helps me to study Bible verses at the same time. I bought one as a gift for my sister in law this year. Reserve about 15 minutes every morning to read the daily entry then to go to the suggested verses for further reading. It is the absolute BEST way to start your day!

This is a devotional guide that we have used each day all the 36 years of our marriage. The writers become friends and so often the daily piece speaks DIRECTLY to a need of the one of us! It is quite remarkable, but not a coincidence!We love that there are pictures that show the changes to the authors through the years and blurbs that tell a bit about them.
